A glass artist from Appleton, Wisconsin, Sara Rezin creates colorful kiln-formed glass landscapes, sculptural art and jewelry. A passion for nature, color, and heirloom shows through in her one-of-a-kind glass creations, which display a unique blend of texture and luster – and often a note or memory from a loved one. Inspired by Wisconsin’s natural beauty, her kiln-formed landscapes capture the forests and scenery of the state in glass.
After careful cutting and placement of glass pieces, powders and enamels, the colorful layers undergo multiple kiln firings to create her functional and sculptural art pieces. The texture, transparency, and shape of each piece are designed to highlight the beauty of the glass.
Her jewelry ranges from colorful glass necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, to fine silver pieces that preserve handwriting, to whimsical pieces incorporating found treasures. Her kiln-formed glass pieces are enhanced by custom fine silver or wire settings.
A life-long resident of Wisconsin, Sara’s artwork may be found in several Wisconsin galleries, as well as multiple Midwest juried art shows. She shares her enthusiasm for her art through glass and jewelry classes in the Fox Valley.
