When UW-EC botany professor Dr. Marcus Fay passed away in 2015, he left behind his vast collection of slides based on field photographs from years of teaching. Recognizing the gift of teaching from a professor who enhanced her perspective of the natural world and set the course for her science career, artist and former biology student, Sara Lubinski, decided to create a visual tribute based on Dr. Fay’s slides. “Through the Eyes of a Botanist” opens October 26.
