Kathy Maves makes functional pottery and other art at her studio in the Knapp Hills of rural Dunn County, in Northwestern Wisconsin. A Chippewa Valley native, Maves also teaches ceramics and art at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Her pottery is inspired by curiosity and appreciation of historical folk traditions, nature, and the nature of clay and ceramics.
